The DC Wallbox Power Capsule is now also available in a 22 kW version in addition to the 30 kW version. This is particularly good news for vehicle owners who would like to charge their e-vehicles quickly and easily at home. For example, anyone who owns a vehicle that can only charge 1-phase by the AC on-board charger knows the car only charges very slowly. You always have to allow enough time for charging, which means that you are less flexible on the road. Users cannot connect to a 30kW connection for fast charging everywhere, for which the 22kW variant is particularly popular with home chargers.

The new Power Capsule with 22kW is aimed precisely at these application scenarios and is ideal for vehicles that can otherwise only charge slowly with the AC on-board charger. Most vehicles charge faster with 22kW DC via the standardized CCS connection of the Power Capsule than with a 22kW AC wallbox. The Power Capsule is therefore ideally used where it can replace a 22kW wallbox. The required connection power remains the same, regardless of whether the Power Capsule 22kW or a 22kW AC wallbox is connected.
