The Ocular DC Wallbox 40kW provides DC current directly to the vehicle’s battery in EVs which differs from AC chargers which utilise the rectifier in the vehicle to convert AC power into DC to charge the vehicle. Most vehicle rectifiers are limited to between 7 and 11 kW and are designed for normal day-to-day usage. DC Chargers are designed when a very fast charge is required instantly. Most day-to-day driving will only require an AC Charger. DC chargers are suitable when there’s a need to turn over vehicles quickly.

The Ocular DC Wallbox comes with a CCS2 Port as standard with an optional CHAdeMO plug.
